Merlot
With precision and brilliance, the Robert-Boularand family reveals the pure expression of the fruit and the typicality of each grape variety in this historic range. The “Merlot” cuvée is a structured wine with a ruby colour with lovely purple reflections. You will find generous aromas of plum, green tea and blackcurrant leaf.
GRAPE VARIETY : 100 % Merlot.
TERROIR : The vines are planted on a claylimestone soil and a limestone hillside with a north exposure.
WINEMAKING : Grapes are harvested at the optimum maturity and then vatting for at least 20 days then ageing in concrete tank with micro-oxygenation.
TASTING NOTES : Fragrant aromas of ripe red berries. On the palate, intense flavours of plum, liquorice and green tea. A classic!
FOOD PAIRINGS : Chicken Pie, Beef stew.
